“Welcome Home, Jaime, Parts I and II” on Cyborgs: A Bionic Podcast!

It’s spin-off time over on Cyborgs: A Bionic Podcast!

Hosts John S. Drew and Paul K. Bisson are back with their 2014 Parsec Award-winning podcast. Up to this point, they’ve rolled out an episode-by-episode retrospective of The Six Million Dollar Man television series, and as long time bionic fans know, it was at the midpoint of the show’s third season that Jaime Sommers, a character introduced during the second year and brought back for the new season’s premier episodes, got her own show, and thus began The Bionic Woman.

From this point forward, the podcast will alternate between episodes of both series, and they kick off things with two installments, one devoted to each half of the series premiere’s 2-part episode, “Welcome Home, Jaime.” Doubling up in the guest chair for the inaugural festivities are two top-shelf Bionic Woman fans: Betsy Dodd, aka “the Bionic Blonde,” and James Sherrard of The Bionic Woman Files.

So, what are they talking about? From John’s write-up:

“Jaime Sommers is back! And this time she’s coming home to rebuild her life. After a sky-diving accident dropped her into a futuristic world of bionics, and then a brain hemorrhage left her dead, she was brought back to life through a revolutionary cryogenic procedure. But her memory was gone and with it her love for Steve Austin, the The Six Million Dollar Man. But now, after one final operation, who will she wake up to be? What kind of life will she have? And will Steve be a part of it?

Tune in to see what John, Paul, Betsy and James thought of this historic 2-part episode:

Cyborgs: A Bionic Podcast – “Welcome Home, Jaime” Part I and Part II

On a related note, I sat down with John and Paul just last night, along with bionic gurus Matt Hankinson and Joe Burns for an epic installment of podcast recording as we did both parts of “The Secret of Bigfoot.” I think we clocked in at somewhere around four hours total talking time that felt more like two, and I have no idea how Paul’s going to edit that down into something manageable. Good luck, bro!

Lay it on me.
