Didn’t we just do this, like, yesterday, or something?
That’s right, folks: we’re in the throes of celebrating the 25th anniversary of one of the biggest movie summers ever. In addition to sequels to Lethal Weapon, Star Trek, Ghostbusters and even Critters, there also were movies like James Cameron’s The Abyss, and a little movie starring Michael Keaton about a guy in a bat suit that nobody went to see.
Oh, and Indiana Jones threw his fedora into the ring one more time.
While still not as good as Raiders of the Lost Ark (and in fact it even feels like it’s retreading the first movie in a couple of places), it’s my second favorite of the Indy films. The interplay between Harrison Ford and Sean Connery is worth the price of admission.
1989 was a hell of a summer for movies, and Indy was one of the reasons why.
Just don’t call him “Junior.”
