The Batcave Podcast, Episodes 6 and 7!

Aloha, Bat-fans! Upon seeing that a new episode of The Batcave Podcast had been released, I realized that I totally let an installment get past me. Holy Two-fer, Batman!

Host John S. Drew pushes forward on his quest to guide us through a review and discussion of the classic 1960s Batman series starring Adam West and Burt Ward. For Episode #6, he’s joined by prolific wordsmith and puppet model Keith R.A. DeCandido for a discussion about the two-part story that brings us the return of the Riddler, “A Riddle A Day Keeps the Riddler Away” and “When the Rat’s Away, the Mice Will Play.”

From John’s write-up:

King Boris’ visit to the United States is interrupted by an exploding bouquet of flowers that hide a riddle inside, the calling card of the Riddler.  What is his scheme?  Can Batman and Robin figure it out before an international incident can occur?

Tune in to see what John and Keith thought of these episodes: A Riddle A Day Keeps the Riddler Away/When the Rat’s Away, the Mice Will Play

Next up? John sits down with lifelong Bat-fan Linda Ali-Cruz to chat about the next two-parter, which features a new addition to Batman’s Rogue’s Gallery: “The Thirteenth Hat” and “Batman Stands Pat.”

As John says:

A rash of kidnappings appears to have Gotham City’s Police Department stumped.  All the victims appear to have one thing in common, they wear hats.  That alone points to the machinations of The Mad Hatter.  But what is his scheme?  Why take the people as well as their hats?  What do they have in common?

Listen to what John and Linda think of the episodes: The Thirteenth Hat/Batman Stands Pat

And since we’re on the subject, I’m set to record another episode with John, this coming Friday evening for release sometime later this month or early next month, and hey! We’ll be talking about the Clown Prince of Crime himself. Love that Joker!

Lay it on me.
