At the Shore Leave convention back in July, one of the panels in which I took part was a discussion of the Star Trek: Vanguard novel series. My hetero life-mate, Kevin Dilmore, and I joined Vanguard co-creators and contributors David Mack and Marco Palmieri for an hour-long discussion about the series, where’s it been, the new Declassified anthology, and the next two books which are designed to bring the series to what we hope is a rousing conclusion. Ordinarily, if you weren’t at the convention you’d just have to take our word for it that we had a good time.
Not so, this year.
