We’ve got a new scheduled appearance to announce to both of you who read this blog with any frequency!
Kevin and I will be guests at this year’s Planet Comicon here in Kansas City, the weekend of April 6th-7th. The con has been a fixture here for the past several years, and every year it seems to grow a bit here and there. This year, it seems they’ve finally outgrown the venue that’s been their host pretty much since the beginning, and now the con is moving to the spacious Bartle Hall in Downtown KC. I can’t wait to see how it fits into its new digs.
In addition to the dozens (and dozens!) of comic and other creator guests who will be in attendance (including the legendary Neal Adams. NEAL. FRIKKIN’. ADAMS.), media guests this year include George Takei, Wil Wheaton, Lindsay Wagner, Adam Baldwin, Peter Mayhew and Lee Meriwether just to name a handful. Among the local talent who will be on-hand are such local folks done good as Freddie Williams II, Phil Hester, Dennis Hopeless, Kevin Mellon, Chris Grine and Alex Grecian. These are just the ones I named off the top of my head. Check out the con’s website for a complete list of guests, and keep checking, because they’re still adding people.
As for me? I’m totally getting Neal Adams to sign my mint copy of this poster:

Kevin and I had a great time last year, and I expect much the same this time around. In addition to signing books and whatever else people put in front of us, we’ll also be doing a couple of panels. I’ll post more here as details firm up.
