Novel Spaces – “And On the Day After, the Writer Rested…for A Bit.”

Today being the 17th, that means my number’s come up once again over at the Novel Spaces blog!

This month, I take a question which first was proposed to me for this past weekend’s “Ask Dayton” question. I was asked how I “celebrate” the completion of a novel manuscript that’s been sent to its editor for review…hopefully on or before the contracted deadline.

My answer to that question for the G and T Show was goofy and over the top in keeping with my schtick for that audience, but as it’s also a decent question, I did also provide a proper answer. I basically used that answer as the basis for this month’s column (after cleaning up all the naughty language and references to strippers, of course).

You can read the new column here: Novel Spaces – And On the Day After, the Writer Rested…for A Bit.

For the writers reading this, what sorts of “post-writing” celebrations or rituals do you observe?

Congratulations! I wish I had something witty or wise to say, but for now I just move on to my next idea… REDRUM…

Lay it on me.
